Due to the Deepavali Holiday, this week only worked for 4 days... a little disappointed that my company did not release us early on the eve of the holiday... met up with my ex colleagues on the holiday eve for birthday celebration.. it's Ang and Xinyi birthday... had dinner at the Akira Jap Restaurant @ The Link Hotel, Tiong Bahru.... quite a big crowd with 13 of us turned up... food as usual is nice....  
dinner ended at 10pm.. after that went to watch movie "Megamind" with Ang, Xinyi and Xueli @ Tiong Bahru GV... a nice show too.... 
On Friday which is Deepavali, went over to Adrian Seotho hse for mahjong with his wife and Kiew... we had Pizza Hut for lunch... and we played till 8pm then went over to Sakura @ Jurong West Swimming Complex for dinner.. well, as I'm the winner, so I had to foot the bill lor.... after dinner, got a lift back home from Kiew.....   
On Sat, went over to visit my god nephews. Cute little boys.... yes..it's a twin... cant really tell who is who.. cos both look alike.. except that the "gege" is slightly chubby than "didi".. 0.8kg difference... whahahaha... 
we later went down to meet Guo Qiang to have dinner Xin Wang Cafe, Ion Orchard for dinner.. walked around Taka and Wisma before we ended @ Toast Box for some breads/cakes and drinks before heading back home..... 
A lazy saturday.... stayed home the whole day...went out in the evening to meet my 三妹, bro-in-law, 2 seconday school frens for dinner @ Outback, Millenia walk... it's been a year since I last went there I think.... the food is as good as before... worth my $$..... 
after a heavy dinner, walked around the mall before we ended at Coffee Club for some drinks and cakes.... 
had a good chit chat session..... and the Joke of the Day: Joke of the day: prepare a bowl of water... if your 1 yr old baby chooses it, he/she may work in PUB when he/she grows up..... whahahahahaha finally... complete uploading all my photos... so, now i can start taking photos again.. haha.... working life was really good after leaving my previous company.... have more personal time after work for myself..... sleep late on sat morning... cos now i'm working 5 days... it's wonderful to be back to a 5-days job after a good 7 years..... been travelling quite often too.... so far, travelled to HK (twice this year), Zhuhai (China), KL (3 times so far), Batam.... so what's next.. haha...   
The recent trip to Batam with my buddies was a fantastic one... found this unique place.... Tempat Senang... an hr ferry to Sekupang Ferry Terminal from Habourfront and another 20mins ride from the ferry to the resort.... spent 6 hrs doing spa..... 6 different spa treatment: body mud mask, hot stone, milk bath, aroma therapy, foot reflex, coconut scrub.... oooo.... my skin feels like baby skin after all these pampering.. haha...  
it's been such a long time manz... almost forgotten about this place.. haha... my life has changed quite a bit within these couple of months.... left the workplace in May, where i've worked for 7 good years.....a place where i have my dreams built up.. it's also the place where my dreams were shattered.... all becos of a 死老头....  u ask me.. yes.. i do hate him.... even wished him dead.. haha... but well.. can only wish but wun act de lah..crazy manz. ti's a crime ok.... the only thing i've done was I've wrote an email to the CEO to feedback what i've had went through and how was I being treated which left me disappointed with the management.... was not expecting anything since i've decided to leave the sad place.. but was shocked and yet happy that he replied me and apologised to me.... never did it come across a mind where the top top person would do that... salute him manz.... but then...must aso thank the 死老头 one way or another... cos if not for him, i wun get a better pay job, good working environment, good bosses, good colleagues... got travel opportunities.... finally, my exam results are out....cleared.... got 2nd class honour grade 2... *smile*..after 10 over years... finally got my square hat....yipee  excited about the convoc... though it's gonna held next year.... ok lah.. will try to come in and blog n post photos as often as i used to be...till then.. tata.. a good start for the new year... had a short trip with Jolene, Charlyn, Ivy and May to KL.. took Tiger Airway.... 
45mins ride before we reached KL airport.. took a cab van down to our hotel, Capitol hotel @ Bt Bintang..  
put down our "luggages" immediately and then went out for our lunch at KFC before heading towards Sungei Wang for our shopping spree.....also went over to The Pavillion for some shopping before heading back to hotel to put down our damages and then went over to the food street for our dinner.... Woke up around 11plus on the next day.... went down with Charlyn first for our breakfast - prata.... met up with the other 3 ladies then took the MTR down to Mid Valley Mall... so troublesome.. should have taken the cab instead... had our lunch at Secret Recipe....by then, we went exhausted..... 
after our lunch, we took cab down to Times Square for more shopping.. keke..... went back hotel to put down our stuff.... rest for awhile before May, Ivy and myself went down to Chinatown for our dinner and walk walk...... Slept only a few hours before we woke up at around 4plus am to catch the cab which we have booked the previous night, down to the airport.... the check-in guy made us pay and check-in our barang barang as the flight was full... had our breakfast @ Mac Donald before flying back to Singapore.... 
these are my damages.... 8 pairs of shoes (vincci, nose, coach) + clothes + Marc Jacobs wallet....   
What a busy week...... but, I've enjoyed cos can spend more time with friends...... 17th Dec (Thurs): attended a fren's wedding dinner @ meritus mandarin, a fren whom I've known through my 2nd god sis... met up a long lost secondary school friend - Christina at the wedding... it's been more than a couple years since we last met...  
after dinner, went down to Cineleisure to catch the midnight show "The Storm Warriors" with my god sis and her hubby... was quite disappointed with show... though the graphics are still as good.... 18th Dec (Fri): Celebrated "Xiao Pang" birthday over lunchtime at work.. order rites pizza... we've got him a watch.. he was very happy... 
19th Dec (Sat): went down to "Mariott Cafe" after work to meet my classmates for our Pre-Xmas lunch gathering.. but was disappointed that only 4 of us turned up.. the rest flew aeroplanes.... anyway, the food was great... cost us about $40+ after the 1 dine free for every 3 diners... i will go back again for the oysters, prawns and cakes!!! 
went home to rest and then dressed up for the 2nd gathering...today is MnL's 5th Xmas Party... yes.. it's the 5th consecutive year... our group so "old" liao.. but I'm happy that we still keep the friendship going.... celebrated @ Bellini... close to 20 of us were there... 
20th Dec (Sun): met up Chailing and Ang and had our dinner over at Marina Keppel Bay before our movie date... the restaurant has a good ambience with nice food but the aircon do needs some servicing as it leaks!!! went over to GV Vivocity to catch the movie "Avatar" with Olivia and Calvin... a nice movie!!! feel like watching the 3D version.. haha... 
November is a busy month for me.. besides working hard..... also studying hard.... rushing for assignments for the current 2 modules....also celebrated some of my frens' bdays - Xinyi, Ang and Charlyn....... Xinyi and Ang's birthday celebration was at the "Carousel royal plaza on scotts", had high tea.... tat's was on a sunday.... also caught the movie "Jennifer's Body" at Marina Square and had supper @ Cafe Cartel...... 
Charlyn's Bday Celebration was at our fav. place, Bellini...It has shifted back to St James at Harbourfront..... a few of us had our dinner at this Jap. restaurant, level 4 Cuppage Plaza... the restaurant mainly sell yakitori... nice food.... 
Also, had a gathering with my previous forum group.... 5 of us met up at Vivocity and had our dinner @ Modesto and then shopping spree.... was a good catch up.. ended up discussing about going for a short trip together.. yipee.... yes... am going away again. haha.... a short one la.. somewhere near to home...... 
It's another good experience for me.....you guys must be guessing what is it that I've had..... well, I've decided to try out another hair salon to get some fresh opinion to my hair.. went down to NEXT salon located at Holland Village.. How i found this salon? Well, i went online to search for salons in Holland Village cos HV is near my home... haha.... was actually thinking whether to try Jeric Salon at Ion.. but thinking its a bit far from home and I'm lazy to go down all the way.. so decided to stop at HV...... Next is an award-winning hair salon with a track record of over 10 years in business.Centrally located right at the heart of Holland Village,Next provides customers with a full range of professional services in an environment that's more chic club than hair salon.

I've tried the senior stylist.. her name was Mack... understand from her that there are only 2 senior stylists in the location.... her skills were quite good... gave me a good cut which I quite like it... at least my hair is neater now.... had read some reviews online saying the salon got good and long hair wash/massage.. indeed it was fantastic... the gal who washed my hair was quite good... gave me a good massage too..... not forgetting the free drink (which i've asked for orange juice) and the good seats and good ambience....i've also did hair colour... it was done by a technician called Ban... selected a red tone for my hair.....in NEXT, the workscope is very clear.. if you are a stylist, you only cut hair.. if you are a technician, you either colour or perm or rebond hair.. if you are "xi tou mei", you only wash hair or massage or do treatment for customer....each of them has their own specialisation...spent about 3hrs plus in the salon....the cut cost me $50 (excl. GST).. hair colour cost about $116... hair treatment cost about $85..i've also bought 1 hair product which cost my about $40+... expensive manz....but i guess quite worth it... cos the product they use if Loreal and Kerstase.......may consider to go back again to do some changes to my hair.... let's wait and see.. till then...  attended another wedding on 15th October..... it was held @ Traders Hotel.... not many tables... less than 20 i think so..... my gal fren was pretty... dressed and looked like a doll.. her wedding shoots were also very nice.... heard that she engaged Sophia Wedding, a reputable one to shoot.... guess, must be very expensive..... am very happy for her that she finally found her loved one..... someone whom can take her as who she is.... hope to receive good news from her soon..... 
Taka dept. store was having it's first ever 15% discount store-wide from 8 Oct to 11 Oct... went down on Friday and Saturday...din bought much.... just bought some new range of lipsticks from bobby brown and chanel, and a hairclip from Chomel..... I think i am one of those who have helped Singapore GDP to grow.. haha.... tat's why Singapore can recover that fast..... lol life after holiday trip is never good.. haha... well.. cos I got assignments to do lor.... 2 group assignments this semester... really tough manz.....worst is when you fall sick.... dunno how i caught the flu bug, cough bug, fever bug and soar throat bug... all came looking for me all together... got 2 days mc to rest at home.... after a good 2 days rest, went out with my xiao mei and her hubby for dinner on Saturday (3rd Oct). Ate @ Xin Wang HK Cafe @ Ion... did some window shopping and had supper @ Coffee Club at Wheelock... Attended Shuling wedding lunch @ Hyatt on Sun (4th Oct).... it's a mixed race matrimonial.... saw a lot of company colleagues there which seems like another company function...... lunch started 1 hr late at 1pm and end around 4pm....  
went off to Amos House.... did my assignment while waiting for Michelle and Gas to come... played 1 round of mahjong, won $55 before going out for dinner to celebrate Michelle's Birthday....had "zi cah" @ zion Road, blk 89.... was recommended by Gas because this stall sells Pork Knuckles at very affordable price...we've ordered pork knuckles, prawn with pumpkin sauce, hotplate beancurd, oyster egg and balacan sweet potato leaves.... yummy!!! see how my fren eat the knuckle bone u can tell how tasty it is liao lor..... ^_^ 
finally.. got my 1st Chanel Bag..all thanks to the queue outside LV... lol 
It's the time of the year again... though it's not a public holiday...... this year din bought much mooncake as I was not feeling well.... only bought a 2 pcs yam crispy for my parents to eat...Wanted to try Goodwood Park durian mooncake, but was already sold out 1 week before the actual day.... This year, there's more stalls selling mooncakes @ Takashimaya... new entrants such as St Regis and some makers from Hong Kong.... 
It's a busy festival this year for me.. why??? Cos I got 2 events to attend... finally, my 2nd god sister decided to upgrade her title..yes... to Mrs Kwan.. she n her hubby participated at this year "I Do" Mass Wedding @ Botanic Garden.... it was a hot sunday... very hot..... her session was held in the afternoon around 445pm... I had to dress up formally because after her ROM i gotta attend my colleague's wedding dinner..... went down to the salon to set my hair.... lucky me, I got a lift from my bro-in-law to Botanic Garden..... met up with Xueling, her hubby and her son there.... after the event, we went down to Ion to have our dinner..... then got Ang to fetch me to go BG's wedding...... 
Finally... visited Hokkaido.... it's autumn season... cool weather.. with some short drizzling...... took up the Chan Brother package tour.. 7D6N....the trip was quite relaxing despite early wake up and changing of hotels almost everyday.... but the hot spring clear off the tiredness.. food was fantastic till I got sick of scallops and crabs every day.. in the end, my friends and I decided to have Mac Donald on our last nite on our own (which was not covered in the package)... we have ebi burger which we dun get to eat back in Singapore..... very tasty and juicy... thought quite expensive.. a meal cost us almost $15..... Lazy to elaborate the trip further cos too much to talk about.... Go view all the photos that i've uploaded to get a feeling about my trip....it's really worth to go manz..... a simple week... nothing much happening at work.... finished my last module for this term... caught the movie "The Final Destination" with Ang @ GV Plaza on Saturday, 29th August.... this series not as good as the previous ones.... 
had our dinner @ Thai Express....      
A busy week for me... rushing for my school assignments.... attending classes from Tues to Saturday... reading reports and preparing for the upcoming event at work....attending training course on Thurs and Friday....the trainer was a good one.... very knowledgeable and rich.. haha... cos she carried the same design Chanel bag for these 2 days but in different colour... so envy... haha... well.. her hubby is rich as he was an ex banker... woohoo... training course held at Novotel Clarke Quay.. the lunch at the cafe "The Square" was a nice one... on the 2nd day, was a fine dining lunch experience for me..... good to see the guys pulling chairs from us..haha... on sat, before class, met up a few classmates for lunch at "The Mussel Guys" at Orchard Central.. one of them is heading to the University to study full-time instead.. it really cost alot cos just the accomodation itself, he has to pay Euro 5k for the 8 mths stay.... not forgetting the air-tix and the meals.... wow.... 
After class, met up Wang Rong and Ang for dinner @ Crystal Jade-Korean BBQ Restaurant @ Centrepoint... was supposed to eat @ Aston but fully booked.....after dinner, we went over to Plaza Sg to catch the movie "The Proposal"... a comedy romance,,, nice plot and good actor and actress.....a sure-must watch movie... after movie, we went over to Holland Village Swenson for ice-cream before heading back home.... On Sunday, my aunt came over my place... she made carrot cake for us.... i've also made a sale...met up with the buyer @ Cityvibe to collect her item.... what a week! | |
